LSU -4 OVER FLORIDA
I’m taking LSU -4 over Florida this week, and here’s why I’m confident. Florida’s offense has been struggling to find its rhythm, particularly in the passing game. Over the past three games, the Gators have failed to complete even half of their pass attempts, with turnovers piling up—eight in the last four outings. Against stronger defenses, like Georgia's and Texas's, Florida’s passing game has looked shaky, and their pass defense hasn’t been much better. They were picked apart by Georgia’s Carson Beck and completely dismantled by Texas’s Quinn Ewers, who threw for five touchdowns in a 49-17 rout last week.
On the flip side, LSU’s passing attack has been a highlight, averaging 322 yards per game. While LSU has faced its own challenges, they’re still showing offensive firepower that Florida's struggling secondary may not be able to contain. Even if Florida’s QB DJ Lagway returns, I expect LSU to control the game, especially with their aerial advantage.

TULANE -6.5 OVER NAVY
I’m backing Tulane -6.5 over Navy. Tulane has been rolling with seven straight wins, dominating the AAC outside a narrow loss to Kansas State and Oklahoma. Last week, they absolutely dismantled Temple, holding the Owls to just five first downs and a mere 158 total yards, while their offense exploded with 589 yards. QB Darian Mensah only needed 14 completions to rack up 261 yards and two touchdowns, while RB Makhi Hughes went off for 153 yards and two scores on the ground. Tulane’s explosive plays—five gains of 45 yards or more—showed just how dynamic they are offensively.
Tulane is looking to secure its spot in the AAC title game. With a strong defense that ranks 16th nationally in total yards allowed, they’re positioned well against Navy’s run-heavy offense. Tulane’s run defense is tough, giving up just 115.4 yards per game. Navy QB Blake Horvath has been productive with 870 rushing yards and 13 TDs, but Tulane’s defense is built to handle rushing offenses like Navys. Navy may have a bit more balance than in past seasons, but against Tulane’s well-rounded defense, I don’t see them keeping up. Tulane should use this game to build momentum, strengthen their AAC title run, and potentially eye a New Year’s Six bowl.
