1.12 - Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix (June ADP: 1.12)
Biggest Riser - Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving
Few rookies from the 2024 NFL Draft class have delivered as impressively as Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving. Despite being a fourth-round pick, Irving finished the season as Pro Football Focus’s highest-graded rookie with a 90.6 overall rating. His stellar debut campaign included 1,514 yards from scrimmage and a remarkable 57 missed tackles forced on just 207 carries, showcasing his elite ability as both a rusher and receiver. He added eight touchdowns on the ground this year as well.
From a fantasy perspective, Irving’s performance was just as impressive. He scored 244.4 points on the season, finishing as RB13 overall and RB19 in points per game (14.4). What truly stood out was his late-season dominance:
Week 12: 27.2 points
Week 13: 27.5 points
Week 14: Injured
Week 15: 13.3 points
Week 16: 18.2 points
Week 17: 23.0 points
Week 18: 16.4 points
Though Rachaad White still has a year left on his deal, Irving has proven to be the more dynamic option and is primed for RB1 volume moving forward. His fantasy ceiling could hinge on offensive coordinator Liam Coen’s future in Tampa Bay. If Coen remains, Irving’s role should continue to thrive. However, if Coen departs, it might be wise to monitor Irving’s situation closely and consider selling high.
Regardless of potential uncertainties, Irving’s breakout season solidifies his status as one of the biggest risers of the 2024 rookie class—a player who’s now firmly entrenched in the top-12 RB conversation for dynasty leagues.
Biggest Faller - Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams
From a dynasty rookie draft value standpoint, Caleb Williams qualifies as the biggest faller in the 2024 rookie class, but this isn’t an indictment of his long-term upside. The Bears’ first overall pick flashed the potential that made him such a coveted prospect, setting multiple rookie records, including 3,541 passing yards and 20 touchdowns while going 353 passes without an interception. However, his rookie campaign was marred by poor protection—he was sacked 68 times, tying for the third-most in NFL history—and a lackluster 46.5 QBR (28th in the league).
The Bears’ coaching situation looms large over Williams’ future development. With a new coach likely on the way, his trajectory could hinge on that hire. Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is rumored to be a candidate, and his track record with quarterbacks could unlock Williams’ immense potential. Williams has already shown flashes of brilliance against Detroit, totaling 681 yards, five touchdowns, and zero interceptions in two meetings.
Dynasty managers should view Williams as a prime buy-low candidate. Despite the challenges of his rookie season, he displayed the foundational traits of a future franchise quarterback. Many quarterbacks rebound from tough starts, and Williams’ offseason focus on mechanics, route concepts, and protections should set him up for a stronger Year 2.
While his value may have dipped, Williams remains a high-upside asset in Superflex leagues. If the Bears can surround him with the right coaching staff and scheme, he has the tools to become a cornerstone QB1 for dynasty managers.
Best Value - Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers
When it comes to delivering on pre-draft hype, no one exceeded expectations quite like Brock Bowers. The 13th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft wasted no time making history, smashing rookie records with 112 receptions, 1,194 receiving yards, and five touchdowns—setting a new standard for first-year tight ends. His production wasn’t just impressive for a rookie; it was elite across the board. Bowers finished as the overall TE1 in fantasy with 262.7 points, and his 15.5 points per game trailed only Trey McBride by a razor-thin margin of 0.1.
What makes Bowers even more remarkable is his consistency and efficiency. He averaged 2.02 yards per route run and dropped just four passes all season, proving he’s as reliable as he is dynamic. His professionalism and "football-only" mindset earned high praise from teammates, and his maturity as a player has quickly solidified his role as the cornerstone of the Raiders’ offense.
From a dynasty perspective, Bowers is already the unquestioned TE1 in the format. Managers who snagged him at 1.08 or later in rookie drafts have struck gold. The Raiders’ coaching changes and quarterback situation remain question marks, but Bowers has already shown he can thrive even in less-than-ideal circumstances. With an offensive-minded head coach and a QB upgrade, the sky is the limit for the former Georgia Bulldog.
Bowers is the rare tight end who combines generational talent with immediate production, making him the best value of the 2024 rookie class and a cornerstone asset in dynasty leagues for years to come.
