Dynasty and Devy rankings are always evolving, shaped by performance trends, shifting roles, and long-term projections. As we continue refining our rankings, eight players stand out as key assets worth discussing—whether they’re rising stars, potential buy-lows, or names to monitor closely. Let’s dive into their outlooks and where they stand in the latest update.
Dynasty
Minnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy - (QB16)
The Vikings have spent the offseason setting McCarthy up for success, reinforcing the offensive line and surrounding him with talent. The big question is whether he can step in and take full control of Kevin O’Connell’s offense right away. Minnesota hasn’t added a veteran QB, making it clear they’re ready to hand him the keys. Now it’s up to McCarthy to prove he’s ready to run the show.
Physically, he’s got the tools—arm strength, mobility, and underrated playmaking ability. But we’ve only seen him in one preseason game, and missing his rookie season with a meniscus injury means we still have a lot of unknowns. The Vikings were linked to Aaron Rodgers at one point, but that’s no longer happening, which solidifies McCarthy as their guy.
He’s in the best possible environment for a young QB—elite weapons, solid protection, and a coaching staff that knows how to maximize offensive talent. The biggest unknown is how much of a ceiling he truly has. At Michigan, he wasn’t asked to carry the offense, and while that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it does raise the question of how much he can elevate an NFL team. However, the chart below comparing McCarthy with C.J. Stroud in college does show his potential upside.
Fantasy Outlook: McCarthy is a buy for me in dynasty. His situation is nearly perfect, and he has the athleticism to add value as a runner. That upside could make him a top-10 fantasy QB in the right circumstances. But there’s still risk—his inexperience, how much the Vikings truly trust him, and the potential for growing pains keep him at QB16 in my rankings for now.

NFL Draft RB - Ashton Jeanty (RB3)
I was hesitant to rank Jeanty in my top five dynasty running backs early in the off-season, but the data and consensus rankings make it hard to leave him out. Based on where startups and dynasty drafts are trending, Jeanty is already viewed as a top-5 back in the format—and that’s before he even gets drafted.
Jeanty is an incredibly well-rounded back. He has elite vision, patience, and a natural feel for the game that allows him to create opportunities where others wouldn’t. He’s a powerful runner despite his compact frame, squatting over 600 pounds and constantly fighting for extra yards. His receiving ability makes him even more valuable in PPR formats, and his tape from 2023 shows how dangerous he is in open space. Just look at his efficiency below:
NFL teams see him as a feature back, and his draft stock reflects that—he’s projected as a top-10 pick in many mocks. The reality is that he’s likely to be the first RB off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft, and that level of draft capital means he’ll be given every opportunity to be a workhorse from day one.
Fantasy Outlook: His blend of power, vision, and receiving ability makes him one of the safest RB prospects we’ve seen since Bijan Robinson. Expect him to be a top-5 dynasty RB the second he gets drafted, and if he lands in a great spot, he could be an instant fantasy RB1. While there is no trade market for Jeanty right now, he is being valued as the 1.01 in rookie drafts, so let’s look at some potential 1.01 deals.

Miami Dolphins WR - Tyreek Hill (WR30)
This might be the last true elite fantasy season for Tyreek Hill. If you’re holding him, you either cash out now while he still has strong value or you ride it out for one last high-end WR1 season.
Miami’s offense never found its rhythm last year after Tua Tagovailoa suffered another concussion early in the season, which forced Hill to play with Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley. But when Tua was healthy, Hill was still dominant, averaging 15.8 PPR points per game. The problem? In games where Thompson or Huntley played, that number dropped to 8.6.
Now, there’s speculation that Hill could try to force his way out of Miami, and if that happens, his landing spot will be crucial. A move to a team with an elite QB—say, the Chargers—could actually boost his value. But even if he stays in Miami, improved O-line play and a fully healthy Tua give him a path back to being a top-five fantasy WR for one last ride.
Fantasy Outlook: I’m holding unless I get a great offer. Hill’s production is still there when the quarterback play is solid, and the Dolphins should have a better contingency plan this season. He’s risky given his age and the uncertainty around his future, but I’m willing to bet on one more elite season in the short term.

Atlanta Falcons TE - Kyle Pitts (TE9)
Kyle Pitts has been one of the most frustrating dynasty assets in recent years, flashing elite potential but struggling due to poor offensive structure and inconsistent quarterback play. Since his 1,026-yard rookie season, Pitts’ production has dipped, largely due to Atlanta’s lack of a functional passing attack. Kirk Cousins’ inefficiency, particularly in play-action, limited Pitts’ usage in 2024, but the transition to Michael Penix Jr. under center should offer some hope. Penix’s stronger arm and willingness to push the ball downfield could help unlock Pitts’ upside, especially in a system that needs more red zone efficiency.
Despite the disappointment, Pitts remains an intriguing buy-low candidate in dynasty formats. He still possesses elite physical traits. However, Atlanta’s play-action usage has been abysmal, ranking dead last in total attempts through the first 15 weeks of 2024. That number saw a slight bump with Penix, but for Pitts to reclaim top-tier status, the Falcons need to scheme him more effectively and ensure he’s a focal point in the red zone. With only 11 redzone targets last season, there’s clear room for improvement.
At just 24 years old, Pitts still has time to re-establish himself as a high-end TE1, but 2025 will be a make-or-break year. Atlanta has exercised his fifth-year option, but with Drake London and Bijan Robinson also demanding touches, his long-term value remains uncertain. Dynasty managers should approach cautiously—his ranking is finally appropriate, and while holding makes sense, a calculated buy-low move could pay off if the offense takes a step forward under Penix Jr..
Another scenario could be a trade during the draft which has been floated out there by a few draft pundits. There are plenty of teams who may miss out on the top options in the draft at the position that could look at Pitts as a great alternative and perhaps cheaper. Some teams that have been floated out there are the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Los Angeles Chargers. If moved we could see a resurgence in dynasty value as well.

Arizona State QB - Sam Leavitt (QB8)
Sam Leavitt made waves in his first season with the Arizona State Sun Devils, transforming the team into a legitimate contender and proving himself as one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the country. After transferring from Michigan State, he took over the offense and led Arizona State to a Big 12 Championship and a College Football Playoff berth, solidifying himself as a household name in college football circles.
Leavitt put up impressive numbers, throwing for 2,885 yards, 24 touchdowns, and just six interceptions while also adding 443 rushing yards and five more scores on the ground. His ability to extend plays with his legs and attack defenses with his arm makes him a true dual-threat weapon. Not only did he lead the Sun Devils to a Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl appearance, but he also outshined big-name quarterbacks like Arch Manning in national rankings.
Choosing to return for another year instead of declaring for the NFL Draft speaks volumes about Leavitt’s confidence and dedication to his craft. His decision to stay could elevate him even further, and with another strong campaign in 2025, he has the potential to be a top-3 quarterback prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft class. His natural playmaking ability, leadership, and willingness to take risks downfield should make him a must-watch prospect this season.
Michigan RB - Jordan Marshall (RB15)
Jordan Marshall burst onto the scene in the ReliaQuest Bowl, seizing his opportunity when Michigan’s starting backs were sidelined. The true freshman showed why he was one of the highest-rated recruits in the country, rushing for 100 yards on 23 carries and securing MVP honors in Michigan’s bowl victory. His combination of vision, balance, and power was on full display, proving that he belongs in the Wolverines' offensive game plan moving forward.
A former four-star recruit out of Archbishop Moeller in Cincinnati, Marshall was ranked as the fourth-best running back in the 2024 recruiting class. While he played a limited role in his freshman season, appearing in just five games, his breakout performance in the bowl game made it clear he’s ready for a bigger workload.
Heading into the 2025 season, Marshall is set to share the backfield with Alabama transfer Justice Haynes, forming one of the most dangerous RB tandems in the Big Ten. Haynes, who rushed for 448 yards and seven touchdowns at Alabama in 2024, brings speed and explosiveness to the table, complementing Marshall’s patience and vision.
Marshall may not have elite top-end speed, but his ability to read blocks, keep his balance through contact, and contribute in the passing game makes him a well-rounded back with NFL upside. If he continues to build on his bowl game momentum, he could solidify himself as one of the top RB prospects for the 2027 NFL Draft.
Texas WR - Ryan Wingo (WR4)
Ryan Wingo is one of the most electrifying young receivers in college football, and 2025 could be his breakout season. As a freshman at Texas, Wingo flashed his immense potential but struggled to build consistent chemistry with quarterback Quinn Ewers. Now, with Arch Manning set to take over as the full-time starter, Wingo could see a massive uptick in production.
At 6’1” and 210 pounds, Wingo brings a unique blend of speed, size, and explosiveness to the field. His track background—highlighted by a 10.50-second 100-meter time—gives him the ability to separate from defenders downfield, while his physicality allows him to win contested catches. He’s a three-level threat who can beat defenders off the line, gain separation with his route running, and make plays after the catch with his acceleration.
Despite dealing with vision issues last year, which he corrected with LASIK surgery, Wingo still showed flashes of dominance. He had 29 receptions for 472 yards and two touchdowns. While also rushing for 100 yards on five attempts.
Now with improved eyesight and a full offseason to develop chemistry with Manning, he’s poised to take the next step. Expect him to be a featured weapon in Steve Sarkisian’s offense, creating mismatches and showcasing his playmaking ability.
While his route-running refinement is still a work in progress, Wingo has the traits to be an elite WR prospect. His long-term potential suggests he could be an early-round NFL Draft pick, and a strong 2025 season could put him firmly in the conversation as one of the top receivers in college football. If he and Manning click, Wingo could be on his way to a monster season.
Oregon TE - Kenyon Sadiq (TE3)
With Terrance Ferguson and Patrick Herbert now heading to the NFL, Kenyon Sadiq steps into the TE1 role for the Ducks. A dynamic athlete, he flashed his potential last season, punctuating it with a breakout showing in the Big Ten Championship Game. Oregon has a strong track record of developing NFL-caliber talent, and Sadiq’s versatility as a receiving threat makes him a name to watch. After a quiet freshman campaign in 2023, he took a step forward this past season, hauling in 24 receptions for 308 yards and two touchdowns. If he takes full advantage of his expanded role, he could solidify himself as a top devy tight end.
