Dynasty Stashes
In the ever-evolving landscape of dynasty fantasy football, identifying players who can blossom into future stars is crucial for long-term success. In this section, we’ll explore three distinct categories of stashes that could pay dividends down the line. First, we have the Taxi Squad Stash, which highlights players who currently lack a defined role this season but possess the potential to carve out a significant opportunity in the coming year. Next is the Limited Production Stash, featuring players who have shown flashes of production but have faced limited opportunities to shine. Finally, we’ll discuss Injury Stashes, focusing on players who have suffered season-ending injuries but still hold value for next season’s roster. Each of these stashes presents a unique opportunity for savvy dynasty managers to enhance their teams and prepare for the future.
Injury Stashes
Minnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy - KTC: QB18
J.J. McCarthy stands out as a top-tier quarterback stash in dynasty formats. McCarthy’s talent and situation make him one of the best trade targets for rebuilding teams. Look for any contender who lost him and could be looking for immediate production. That would be the opening needed to draft him. We’ve seen Sam Darnold’s serviceable work in that Vikings offense, but McCarthy’s potential to command the huddle with a roster full of weapons—Justin Jefferson, T.J. Hockenson, Jordan Addison, under head coach Kevin O’Connell—puts him in a perfect spot for long-term success. McCarthy showcased an 80.0% adjusted completion percentage in college, one of the highest in his draft class, along with a solid performance under pressure (71.2% completion rate). Not only does he make plays, but he’s also adaptable to multiple schemes, as shown by his 24.1% play-action rate at Michigan. He brings the versatility and poise needed for this Vikings offense, and his fit in the scheme gives him QB1-like upside.
Dynasty Trades (12 Team SF/TE Premium)
J.J. McCarthy FOR Jameis Winston
J.J. McCarthy FOR Brandon Aiyuk
J.J. McCarthy FOR Bo Nix
J.J. McCarthy FOR Derrick Henry
J.J. McCarthy FOR Late 2025 1st
Green Bay Packers RB Marshawn Lloyd - KTC: RB46
MarShawn Lloyd was poised to compete for carries behind Josh Jacobs but faced setbacks this season. With Jacobs thriving as Green Bay’s workhorse back, Lloyd’s role has been limited, but he remains an excellent injury stash. Jacobs ranks third in the league in rushing yards (762) and is a top performer in yards per carry. However, he isn’t getting any younger, and Lloyd’s explosive play style could carve out a significant role if Jacobs faces an injury or needs a workload reduction next year. Lloyd's top-10 national ranking in yards per carry (YPC), breakaway run percentage, and elusive rating in 2023 at USC reflects his high potential as a future RB1. His tackle-breaking ability and burst to the edge position him as a valuable handcuff with RB1 upside should Jacobs’ situation change.
Dynasty Trades (12 Team SF/TE Premium)
MarShawn Lloyd FOR Cedric Tillman
MarShawn Lloyd FOR Kareem Hunt
MarShawn Lloyd/Rashee Rice FOR Kenneth Walker
MarShawn Lloyd FOR Amari Cooper
MarShawn Lloyd FOR Deebo Samuel
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin - KTC: WR38
Godwin was on pace for a fantastic season, leading the league in receptions and consistently delivering WR1/2 production before a dislocated ankle ended his 2024 campaign. The injury is devastating, especially as Godwin was proving doubters wrong after being labeled as a buy-low target this year. Heading into free agency next year at age 29, and with two major injuries in his rearview, Godwin’s dynasty outlook is uncertain. Still, he’s not a sell right now. If you can afford to hold him as a stash, that’s the play. He should bounce back, and needy teams might take interest as he rehabs toward 2025. Here are the most recent deals revolving around Godwin in dynasty:
Dynasty Trades (12 Team SF/TE Premium)
Chris Godwin FOR Rashod Bateman
Chris Godwin FOR Romeo Doubs/2025 2nd
Chris Godwin/Rondale Moore FOR Michael Pittman
Chris Godwin FOR Keenan Allen
Chris Godwin FOR Late 2025 1st
Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott - KTC: QB19
Dak Prescott’s potential season-ending hamstring injury makes him a prime stash for retooling or rebuilding dynasty teams. Prescott has struggled this season but remains a solid QB2 with QB1 potential when healthy. Before his injury, he was QB19 in fantasy points per game (15.6) and scored 16+ fantasy points once in his last five games. With Dallas likely heading for a high draft pick, Prescott’s rest-of-season outlook isn’t ideal, and he may miss several weeks or possibly the season. However, he still has the playmaking ability and has shown flashes of QB1 upside based on the scheme. The Cowboys will likely be looking for a new head coach next season, which could lead to even more production if they hire an offensive-minded coach. A patient manager could acquire Prescott as a stash on the cheap, with the goal of a rebound year when he’s back under center next season.
Dynasty Trades (12 Team SF/TE Premium)
Dak Prescott FOR Cooper Kupp
Dak Prescott/2025 2nd FOR Jared Goff
Dak Prescott FOR Sam Darnold
Dak Prescott FOR Travis Kelce/Jameis Winston
Dak Prescott FOR Russell Wilson/2025 2nd
Taxi Stashes
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Roman Wilson - KTC: WR78
Roman Wilson has yet to see much of the field in 2024, logging just five offensive snaps, mostly as a run blocker. Since being placed on IR, there’s been speculation he might not return to the 53-man roster this season. Despite the limited usage, Wilson displayed strong potential as a pass-catcher in the padless portion of Steelers training camp, where he impressed with his speed and route-running ability. The Steelers’ receiver depth is still fairly shallow, and though they added Mike Williams, Wilson’s skill set makes him an intriguing candidate for a slot role next season. He’s cheap in dynasty formats, making him an ideal throw-in trade piece or stash for those hoping to hit on a low-cost prospect.
Roman Wilson FOR Cooper Rush
Roman Wilson/Jalen Coker FOR Romeo Doubs
Roman Wilson FOR 2025 4th
Roman Wilson FOR 2025 3rd
Roman Wilson FOR Allen Lazard
Baltimore Ravens RB Rasheen Ali - KTC: RB75
Drafted in the fifth round, Rasheen Ali brings a solid resume from his college days at Marshall, where he totaled over 2,500 rushing yards and 38 touchdowns in just two full seasons. Though Derrick Henry has been dominating the backfield, the Ravens’ front office saw something in Ali when they used a fifth-round pick on him. His skill set as a dual-threat rusher and pass-catcher gives him an edge should the Ravens shift their backfield rotation next season. While he may not be needed right away, Ali’s upside makes him a valuable stash for dynasty teams with the bench space.
Rasheen Ali FOR Justin Watson
Rasheen Ali/Jermaine Burton FOR Jameis Winston
Rasheen Ali/Jameson Williams FOR Ricky Pearsall/Chase Brown
Rasheen Ali FOR Rico Dowdle
Rasheen Ali FOR Alexander Mattison/2025 4th
Cincinnati Bengals TE Erick All - KTC: TE23
Erick All entered the Bengals organization as a fourth-round pick, putting up 20 catches for 158 yards before suffering a season-ending ACL injury. Though he’s now recovering, All’s potential is evident, especially in a Bengals offense that values a versatile tight end. With Mike Gesicki emerging as one of the team’s top targets, All could still carve out a complementary role upon his return if they decide to bring him back. His potential to develop into a primary red-zone threat or even step into an expanded role as a possession receiver makes him a deep stash with intriguing upside. He’s worth holding on taxi squads for those looking to find value at tight end.\
Erick All/Jared Wiley FOR Taysom Hill
Erick All FOR 2026 4th
Erick All FOR 2025 3rd
Erick All FOR Devaughn Vele
Erick All FOR Curtis Samuel
