Rookie RB Jonathon Brooks Time Is Coming
Jonathon Brooks could be poised for a strong finish to the season, living up to his rookie draft expectations. Coming off an ACL injury, the former Texas standout has yet to debut, but he’s set to join a Panthers backfield where Chuba Hubbard has handled the starting role effectively. While Hubbard’s efficiency and recent contract extension secure his role, Brooks brings a higher ceiling and playmaking potential that could challenge Hubbard’s workload as the season progresses. Brooks showcased his ability with over 1,100 rushing yards and ten touchdowns in his final college season, displaying the kind of talent that set high expectations in rookie drafts. With Carolina’s offensive line ranking well in most blocking metrics, Brooks could see meaningful opportunities down the stretch, positioning him as a back to watch as he looks to deliver on his potential, especially in the passing game where this Panthers offense has needed a reliable safety blanket. It would not shock me to see him becoming a reliable flex option as the season winds down.

Los Angeles Chargers WR Quentin Johnston Is Becoming A Solid WR2
Quentin Johnston is showing real potential to step into a solid WR2 role for the Chargers after being left for dead after his rookie season. After a quiet rookie season, Johnston has found the end zone five times in his last seven games, thanks to an offensive scheme that maximizes his big-play ability. Despite a low target share, he’s capitalizing on scoring opportunities and proving to be an efficient red-zone threat. With a favorable upcoming schedule against teams like Cincinnati, Baltimore, and Atlanta, all of whom struggle to contain perimeter receivers, Johnston's role as a reliable WR2 could be solidified even further. If the Chargers add a true WR1 to their roster, Johnston would thrive in a complementary role, increasing his long-term dynasty value as a dependable, efficient WR2 with weekly touchdown upside. There’s also a scenario where the Chargers look to add a playmaking TE1, and that could also boost his ceiling a little higher.
Being tied to Justin Herbert strengthens Quentin Johnston's outlook as a dependable WR2. Herbert’s elite arm talent and playmaking ability give Johnston the perfect setup to produce consistently and to capitalize on scoring opportunities. With Herbert under center, Johnston’s big-play potential and red-zone opportunities only grow, boosting his long-term dynasty value and making him an exciting asset to hold.

Houston Texans WR John Metchie Has Carved Out A Role
John Metchie III is gradually carving out a more significant role in the Houston Texans’ offense, particularly in the wake of Stefon Diggs' injury. With more playing time in three-receiver sets, Metchie is becoming a steady presence in the Texans’ offense alongside Robert Woods. In Week 10, Metchie logged the most snaps in 11-personnel while Woods handled the 12-personnel sets. This shift signals that the Texans are continuing to trust Metchie as a key part of their passing game, especially after his first career touchdown—a 15-yard catch from C.J. Stroud against the Lions. Though he may not be a volume receiver just yet, Metchie is showing flashes of potential. If Houston doesn't significantly bolster their wide receiver room in the offseason, Metchie could be a sneaky hold for dynasty managers, with more opportunities ahead as his role continues to grow. While his ceiling may not be as high as others, his recent production and steady usage are encouraging signs for the future.
