Who is Jerome Myles?
Myles was a five-star recruit in the composite rankings who attended Corner Canyon High in Draper, Utah. A two-sport athlete, he also competed in track and field. In 2024, his first year running track, Myles broke a 43-year-old state record in the 100M with a time of 10.36 seconds. Prior to that, he had already recorded a 10.57 at a previous meet.
Myles is electric when he’s on the field. Over his last seven games—including one where he exited in the first half due to an injury that ended his senior season—he recorded 28 receptions for 732 yards and 10 touchdowns. His most impressive performance came against IMG Academy in 2024, where he dominated as the best player on the field. In that game, he hauled in five receptions for 125 yards and three touchdowns, including two second-half scores that led to a historic victory, which I had the privilege of witnessing live.
Despite his season being cut short by an ACL injury, Myles remained a highly sought-after recruit, holding 28 scholarship offers. Initially, he committed to Ole Miss in the spring of 2024 before reopening his recruitment. He later pledged to USC but ultimately decommitted due to concerns about the program’s infrastructure, choosing Texas A&M instead.
Myles has a prototypical frame for a true X-receiver, combined with exceptional speed. He has been clocked in the 4.3–4.4 range in the 40-yard dash. His release package is excellent, and he thrives as a vertical threat with a diverse route tree. He accelerates to top-end speed in just a few strides, stacks defenders efficiently, and is dangerous after the catch, capable of making defenders miss. Myles consistently creates separation with his footwork, body fakes, and elite speed. He is an outstanding athlete with an alpha mentality—capable of taking over a game at any moment. Myles also plans to run track for the Aggies, and any concerns about lingering effects from his ACL injury should be minimal.
