College Football Playoff Bets
Kevin goes through his favorite bets of the second round of the College Football Playoff!
The college football season has been a thrilling journey, and it’s hard to believe we’re already in the second round of the playoffs. Over the season, I’ve been fortunate to have a solid record of 43-28-1. It’s been a successful ride, and as the stakes get even higher, I’ve been asked to highlight my favorite bets for this pivotal weekend of action.
With the best teams in the nation clashing for a chance at a national championship, we’re set for an incredible slate of games. Let’s dive into these matchups and uncover the plays I believe will make this playoff weekend even more exciting.
PENN STATE (-11.5) OVER BOISE STATE
The Fiesta Bowl showcases two 12-win teams, but Penn State’s dominant defense sets them apart. The Nittany Lions stifled SMU last week, holding them to just 58 rushing yards and forcing four turnovers. Boise State’s running back Ashton Jeanty has been phenomenal in the Mountain West, but Penn State’s ninth-ranked run defense is a different beast. Without an NFL-caliber offensive line, Boise is outmatched. The Broncos have had magical moments in this bowl game before, but the Nittany Lions' physicality and proven playoff pedigree should secure a double-digit win.

OREGON (+2.5) OVER OHIO STATE
Oregon and Ohio State face off in the Rose Bowl, with the Ducks as slight underdogs despite being the nation’s only undefeated team. Ohio State boasts elite talent on both sides of the ball, but their offensive line has struggled against aggressive pass rushes. Oregon’s defense is top-10 in pass success rate, and while their run defense has vulnerabilities, the Ducks’ offense—led by Dillon Gabriel—has been ruthlessly efficient. This game will be tight, but Oregon’s ability to execute in high-pressure moments gives them the edge. Expect the Ducks to grind out a win and keep their perfect season alive.
